USPF recollects 1st honoris causa conferee Pres. Sergio Osmeña

University of Southern Philippines Foundation skims the pages of her colorful history to the year 1952 when she introduced the first Doctor of Laws honoris causa conferee PRESIDENT SERGIO OSMEÑA, SR., the Grand Old Man of Cebu and fourth president of the Republic of the Philippines. 

Almost a decade after, USPF confers General Douglas MacArthur with Doctor of Laws honoris causa in 1961 and the University of the East President Francisco Dalupan with Doctor of Pedagogy honoris causa in 1962.
