Philippine pianist Dr. Ingrid Sala Santamaria gifts USPF with the ISS 50 Years of Music exhibit after last night’s very successful celebration concert at Marco Polo Hotel.
Dr. Santamaria has a very
close relationship with USPF. Her father, the late Salvador Sala,
composed the timeless USPF Loyalty Song which is forever a part of
USPian students and alumni. In addition, the eminent love
for music and education sealed a partnership between the university and
the Salvador & Pilar Sala Foundation. The partnership
produced inspiring graduates and educators of music today, including
USPian alumni Marc Hamlet Mercado, Reynaldo Abellana, and Christian Roy
Abais.
The ISS exhibit at USPF through Vice President for External Relations Mrs. Lourdes D. Jereza runs from September 8-12, 2012 at the Don Agustin Jereza Building in USPF Lahug campus.
USPian alumna and vice president for external relations Dr. Lourdes D. Jereza is photo exhibited as one of the ten iconic women of Cebu in I AM WOMAN, theme of the grand celebration in unison with the International Women's Month in March 8 at the Ayala Activity Center, Cebu City. "Odette", as she prefers to be called, banners the word "uplift" through relationship-building in her everyday dealings with people from all walks of life. After all, who can better speak about relations and spark an uplifting vibe than an expert in relations?
