USPF creates Typology-Based Program

USPF works hand-in-hand with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in securing the quality of education. Grounded on CHED's quality assurance mechanism, the University works on the Typology-Based Program.

The USPF Typology-Based Program is chaired by the university president Dr. Alicia P. Cabatingan and co-chaired by the two assistants to the university president on curriculum and on planning and development Dr. Bryant C. Acar (on right photo) and Mr. Lucio Pulmones, respectively. 

The Program is introduced by Dr. Cabatingan (on left photo) and is thoroughly discussed by Dr. Acar in a formal seminar held on February 27, 2013 at the Moot Court, USPF Lahug campus.  The seminar is participated by the members of the USPF Academic Council. Delegation of tasks is done by college or department with specific work groupings.  

Under the Typology-Based Program, the Office of Alumni Relations is tasked to work closely on the alumni tracer study along with the Guidance Center and the Registrar's Office, hence, the Comprehensive Alumni Tracer Study (CATS) committee is formed. 

The CATS committee officially conducted the preliminary meetings last March 3-6, 2013 at the Office of Alumni Relations, USPF Lahug campus. The committee is chaired by the alumni relations director Ms. Kathleen Solon-Villaneza and co-chaired by the university registrar Mrs. Susan Ferguson and student personnel services director Mr. Adonis Wagas.  

CATS committee members (on right photo) include university psychometrician Mr. Jonash Durano, guidance counselors Miss Virnalyn Porte and Ms. Maricille M. Espina, and office of the registrar officer Ms. Joy Estrada-Lim.

Also members of the committee (on left photo) are the Administrator-Liaison for Tracing Alumni (ALTA) per college, namely: Ms. Cherry Galos (College of Accountancy), Miss Jasefah Jaima Maruhom (College of Pharmacy), Miss Joan S. Rajah (College of Computer Studies), Miss Marivic S. Bustillo (College of Nursing), Mr. Magno Aquino (College of Arts & Sciences), Ms. Gummamela R. Fernandez (School of Business & Management ), Engr. Nanette Ebao (College of Engineering & Architecture), and Dr. Janet Arcana (College of Education).

CATS committee is scheduled to present  a thorough 10-year alumni tracer of all colleges including AY 2002-2012 on June 10, 2013 along with the rest of the committees under the Program.
